Student Focus Groups and Surveys
Holding student focus groups, especially in conjunction with student surveys, offers developers:
- Ability to explore complex issues that are raised in surveys to be explored further
- Qualitative answers to data including "soft" answers to be explored more in-depth in smaller, more intimate groups
- Opportunity to hear students answer questions on rent, distance, unit size and amenities
- Chance to hear students give more lengthy and more well thought out answers to questions of importance, such as rental thresholds, optimum distance to campus, best unit size and mix, amenity choices and willingness to pay for them
